How many wedding planning checklists have you glanced at till now and felt like something just wasn’t adding up?

10-12 months to go

  1. Date

Without a date, you won’t be able to book any vendors.



Get someone to take the lead early on and relieve you of planning stress.



3. Fix your Budget 

Get your budget breakdown here.



4. Draft Guest List

Having a tentative number of guests will help you book your vendors.



5. Explore Photographer, Videographer, Caterer

Start exploring early with help from your planner.


8-10 months to go

  1. Finalise Guest List & explore Guest Accommodation



2. Book Photography Team, Makeup Artist, Mehendi Artist, Hairstylist & Live Band/DJ



3. Explore/Buy your Wedding Clothes and Jewellery

Buy gold or silver jewellery when rates are lower. Get a stylist to help you with your attire.



4. Explore Food options, do Food Tastings



5. Start working with your Wedding Designer on your Wedding Decor


6-8 months to go

  1. Wedding Stationery & Favours

Start planning and placing orders for your formal invitation, luggage tags, and favours, now.



2. Book Caterer & Wedding Cake



3. Clothes for Groomsmen/Bridesmaids



4-6 months to go

  1. Send out Save The Dates



2. Finalise your Outfits & Groomsmen/Bridesmaid Clothes



3. Venue Visit & Weather Contingency Plan

Get an idea of the layout and space planning with your planner & designer.



4. Choreographer

If you’re planning dances, book your choreographer now and start working with them.


2-4 months to go

  1. Pre-Wedding

Do your pre-wedding shoot and start planning for pre-wedding parties, if any.



2. Finalise Menu & Decor Details



3. Send out Formal Invitations

Include timings of all events, locations, dress code, and contact details for rsvp.



4. Dress Fittings & Alterations



5. Book Pandit/Officiant


1 month to go

  1. All Outfits Ready!

Get all your outfit alterations done by now. Make sure you have all your shoes, clothes, and accessories ready for all events.

 


2. Vendors in Sync

Make sure all your vendors are on the same page about the timeline of the days of the events.



3. Payments

Check on your payments and start clearing them.



4. Shot list

Discuss shots with your photo and video team.


2-3 weeks to go

  1. Self-Care

Get your manicure, pedicure, and facials done. Consult with your makeup artist and hairstylist for the best results on your D-day!



2. Check-In

Have a call with your planner, and double-check your vendors/suppliers. Make sure everything is on track.



3. Designate POC

Designate a friend/family member as your person of contact. That way, your wedding planner will know who to reach out to on the day of the events if needed.


1 day to go

  1. Planner and POCs

Talk to your wedding planner and POCs once for your peace of mind.



2. Get Excited!

A year’s planning was all for the next few days. Get excited and ready to enjoy every moment because they’ll pass you by faster than you could’ve ever imagined.
